Maher Farrukh is an analyst for the Critical Threats Project at the American Enterprise Institute. His research focuses on the al Qaeda network and its affiliates. He focuses on the Yemen and South Asia. Prior to joining the project, Maher worked in multiple non-profit positions and interned with the Jordanian Ministry of Social Development in Amman. Maher is pursuing an M.A. in Security Policy Studies at the George Washington University and holds a dual B.A. in Political Science and International Studies with a minor in Middle East Studies from the University of Utah.
