  • Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast:
    • "…We do not recognize that the United Arab Emirates has become a middle man exporting [European goods] to us..."
    • "We believe that our trade and economic relations have shifted from Europe to Asia, and not to the United Arab Emirates… China, India, Turkey, Japan and the like are some examples of such countries..."
