M23 clashed with pro-Congolese government Wazalendo fighters in north-central Masisi district in North Kivu. The Congolese media outlet Actualite.cd reported that M23 clashed with Wazalendo fighters in Kibarizo village, about 11 miles west of Kitchanga in the Bashali chifedom, on March 11.[i] Actualite.cd reported separately that Wazalendo fighters conducted an attack on M23 in Kashuga village in Bashali—roughly 17 miles north of Kitchanga on the RP1030—on March 12.[ii]
