Zimmerman
Katherine Zimmerman is an Analyst and the Gulf of Aden Team Lead for the American Enterprise Institute’s Critical Threats Project. Her work has focused on al Qaeda and its associated movements in the Arabian Peninsula and the Horn of Africa. Katherine specializes in the Yemen-based group, al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula, and Somalia’s al Qaeda-linked al Shabaab. She has testified in front of Congress and published analyses of U.S. national security interests in Yemen and Somalia. Katherine graduated with distinction from Yale University with a B.A. in Political Science and Modern Middle East Studies.
