Harnisch
Chris Harnisch is a former Research Analyst and Gulf of Aden Team Lead for the Critical Threats Project. His research focuses on al Qaeda and its associated movements. He has briefed members of the House and the Senate on Yemen and Somalia, and he has published articles on the Islamist threat in those countries in numerous publications. He graduated with high honors from Middlebury College with a degree in International Studies, concentrating on the Middle East and Arabic. Prior to joining AEI, Chris served on the staff of Vice President Dick Cheney. Chris has lived and studied in Yemen and Egypt.
