Authorities in Thailand said they thwarted a terror plot in Bangkok linked to Lebanese Hezbollah. Thai authorities identified two Lebanese suspects, including a Swedish-Lebanese male who was apprehended. The second suspect is at-large. Thai police officials said the operatives intended to use explosives in the attack. (ABC, Bangkok Post) The US embassy in Bangkok had warned that "foreign terrorists may be currently looking to conduct attacks against tourist areas in Bangkok in the near future." (Embassy Bangkok) Israeli authorites also warned its citizens in Thailand of possible attacks.
