The United Kingdom-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that Syrian security forces killed at least 100 people in Homs on February 2. The group's head Rami Abdul Rahman said "At least 105 people were killed in a massacre in the Khalidya district of Homs, including women and children...Syrian forces are shelling the district with mortars from several locations, some buildings are on fire. There are also buildings which got destroyed." (Guardian)
