Grenade Attack in Garissa

Two separate grenades were thrown in Garissa in North Eastern Province in Kenya. The first grenade was thrown at a restaurant named “The Florida Hotel,” wounding four people. The second attack occurred in the staff dining area in a prison but no one was wounded. A senior police officer said, “It seems the people behind the incident are [amateurs] but their aim is to kill or injure many people. We are on alert but no arrest has been made so far.” The attacks occurred around 8:00pm on December 15. (The Standard)
